This summer, Alt-Ed Lincs was alive with energy as we welcomed young learners to our HAF Clubs — and what a journey it was.
From our Transport-Themed Week to Natural World adventures, each club was packed with hands-on learning, exciting trips, and plenty of healthy fun. Learners explored the world of transport with visits to the Lincoln Transport Museum and Sherwood Forest Railway, while back at base, they tackled creative challenges — from planning meals for F1 drivers to discovering how food is served at 30,000 feet.
Our Healthy Superhero Competition brought out the imagination in full force, with students designing their own food-loving heroes. The winning creation, Mushy Man, stole the show with powers that made veggies irresistible — proving that healthy eating could be super cool.
During Natural World Week, learners connected with nature through pond dipping, beach games, litter picking, and feeding ducks and geese. They explored our allotment, picked fresh fruit, and crafted their own “Tartainiums” — all while enjoying nutritious meals and snacks in a relaxed, supportive space.
We were incredibly proud of every young person who joined us — their curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm made this summer unforgettable. A huge thank you went out to our amazing staff, families and supporters who helped make it all happen.
Until next time — keep exploring, keep creating and keep being awesome.
